This can be either a good or a bad thing depending on how you view it.

Personally I think that the more nuclear weapons in the world, the better are chances are of making our species extinct. We need to be limiting and destroying these weapons, not building more of them!

The US sees China as the next superpower and wants to ensure that India can offset them. With Russias military on the rise again though, I think this US may be in for a much tougher time than they expected. I dont think the US leaders saw Russia rising as a world power again anytime soon. The SCO rivals NATO and may become even more powerful.

The earth is a complicated place. Sad that some humans are so interested in blowing up large portions of it.

Lets see what good comes out of it?

I am particularly happy that this deal has made the NSG ineffective because NSG was created to stop India emerging as a Nuclear State.

It has also put USA into a bind to us vis-a-vis Pakistan.
